Case 16: RADIOLOGIC ASSESSMENT

      Film Review

Discussant: CHAAN NG, MD (Dr Choti Case)

Baseline Images:

A large lesion appears in the right lobe of the liver, predominantly in segment VII and segment VIII. The lesion appears to be 10 to 12 centimeters in size.

The course, dense, white material is consistent with embolic material.

This patient has a few satellite lesions bridging across into segment IV but what is critical is that the other lesions spread throughout the liver. In the left lobe of the liver — in what we would think would be segment II — a 1- to 1.5-cm lesion is present in addition to another lesion in the far left lobe and many others are sprinkled around. The patient has bilobar liver metastatic disease.
